This field only searches for a word in the title of the Data
Entry (normally the title of the book, article, film...), so you should only
use it, if you are looking for a certain document.
If you want to use the full search options, you should use
You can reach this search option by using the BZFO OPAC Link or
chosing BZFO among the Information Sources.
Here you can either use the basic search or the advanced search
(button on the top right), where the basic search has the same limitations as
the ABCD Search Field.
In the advanced search you can do a combined search over several fields.
All index or geographical terms are only available in English.
In the BZFO Database umlaute are dissolved (ä=ae, ö=oe, ü=ue, ß=ss).
You can also truncate your search expression using the „$“.
Please note that when you are searching for an expression consisting of
several words you have to connect them with an „*“.

Werden in einem Feld mehrere Worte verwendet, müssen diese durch „*“
verbunden werden.
